Mints & Honey

Mints & Honey is a super cute cafe and neighborhood hangout in San Carlos, CA.

My sister told me we had to go to the cafe here and I'm so glad I agreed to go with her.

We live pretty close to San Carlos, but I usually only head over there to check out the boutiques in their downtown area.

It is a small quiet residential city on the peninsula.

Walking up to the front of this establishment I knew we're in for a cute and exciting treat.

The theming was so cute inside. It made so much sense to me why this space is also used as an event and design studio.

I wasn't able to capture many photos inside because they were very busy and I didn't want to disturb the families.

However, I took plenty of photos of our food. We ordered a couple different things because my sister suggested I try a little bit of everything.

Berries & Yogurt Waffle | ★★★★★

These waffles were so light and fluffy but slightly crisp. The fruits were fresh and great with the yogurt. Definitely recomend trying the waffles if you come to check this place out.

Veggie Quiche | ★★★★★

This quiche was awesome tasted great and I loved the crust. It wasn't too crunchy which I really liked.

Avocado Egg Toast | ★★★★★

Simple, salty and savory. Loved every part of this from the bread to the soft boiled egg and the avocado that wasn't just chopped into pieces and placed on the bread. I liked that it was more of a spread.

Chai Latte | ★★★★★

I also ordered a chai latte to drink and my sister ordered the matcha green tea with boba.

I was happy with my drink it tasted delicious and was exactly what I wanted. My sister, on the other hand, did not like her drink at all.

Matcha Iced Milk Tea with Boba | ★★✩✩✩

Unfortunately, my sister, who orders matcha pretty frequently at various cafes and restaurants was not satisfied with this drink. She would not recommend this drink, but maybe give it a try if you're still curious.

There is an entrance in the back which has to be used on Saturdays after 12pm because they usually host events in their party room.

They have additional seating outside as well. I absolutely love the decor and theming throughout this restaurant. Very cute, cozy and Instagram ready.

I will definitely be coming back here to try other things on their menu. I plan to one day rent their event space as well.

Anyways, I hope this information was helpful and you will check out Mints & Honey someday soon.
