Disneyland | Fall 2017

I have been visiting Disneyland for as long as I can remember. Sometimes going once to three times a year accumulating a grand total of at least 50 visits in my entire life.

Disneyland has been a place that my family always enjoys visiting, so we go as often as we can.

Recently, I have been visiting with my friends and boyfriend a lot more, but I still try and visit with my family when they plan trips.

Anyways, the last trip I visited Disneyland during Labor Day Weekend with a group of friends and it was so much fun!

It was super hot that weekend, but even though we were sweating through our shirts we managed to go on a lot of rides because the crowd level seemed down.

In my group of friends, two of them had visited Disneyland at least in the last two years, but my other friend hadn't been in about 10 years.

We decided to visit the parks for two days and use Disney's new MaxPass feature to help us to maximize our time to see other things around the parks instead of waiting in line for attractions.

MaxPass

There were lots of things we wanted to do and see so we decided to utilize Disney's FASTPASS feature MaxPass.

I used MaxPass for the first time and I loved it! I would highly recommend it if you're visiting the parks for a short period of time like one or two days.

Here's the full review of the MaxPass if you want the list of rides we went on and how MaxPass works.

Tickets

We bought 2-day Park Hopper tickets and added the MaxPass feature both days to our tickets.

One of my friends and I had annual passes at the time to Disneyland so we did not need to buy tickets, but we did need to buy the MaxPass feature on our Disneyland app (which is $10/per day).

Since we stayed at the Anaheim Hilton near the Convention Center they sold Disneyland park tickets at a kiosk by their front desk area.

The other two people in our group went down early in the morning to purchase their tickets so we would not have to wait in line at the ticket booths at the front of the parks.

I would recommend purchasing tickets online before heading to the parks so you don't have to wait in line at the ticket booth to purchase tickets. There is usually a line and before you get to line up there you have to line up at the security checkpoint and after purchasing tickets line up to get into the parks. So save some time and get your tickets before you head out to the parks.

*DISCOUNTED TICKETS* I have yet to find a site that gives you the best deal for tickets. Maybe if you book through a travel agent it could be cheaper? But these are the only places I  know of that offer discounted tickets.

  • AAA - This may be a California discount only.
  • Costco

You can purchase tickets at some grocery stores, but they are not discounted. They are usually the same price that is on the Disneyland website.
